Broad Objectives:
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efficient and accurate movement of materials and finished products within the Clip Department. Working closely with the Shipping & Receiving team, this role helps ensure customer orders are processed accurately, shipments are completed on time, inventory is maintained, and receiving activities are completed efficiently. The position plays a key role in supporting customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and the department's continued growth.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare, pick, pack, and verify customer orders for shipment.
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials.
- Coordinate freight carriers, shipping schedules, pickups, and deliveries.
- Perform a second verification of customer orders prior to shipment to improve shipping accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain shipping, receiving, inventory, and freight documentation.
- Receive, stage, and organize materials for production and customer orders.
- Assist with inventory transactions, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy.
- Process returned materials (RMAs) and assist with issue tracking and resolution.
- Prepare customer samples and sample shipments.
- Contact customers to confirm pickup times, shipping details, delivery requirements, and shipment status.
- Safely load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment.
- Support production by ensuring materials are available as required.
- Cross-train with Richard to provide coverage during vacations, absences, and peak workload periods.
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Production, Purchasing, and other departments to ensure orders are shipped accurately and on time.
- Identify opportunities to improve shipping, receiving, inventory accuracy, and department efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company health and safety policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 2–3 years of Shipping & Receiving experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Experience preparing shipping documents and coordinating freight carriers.
- Inventory and warehouse experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills (ERP experience is an asset).
- Forklift certification is considered an asset; training will be provided if required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
